From 2019 until 2023, I was the president of the Flint River Grotto, a chapter of the National Speleological Society (NSS). The NSS is the largest cave conservation organization in the world working to promote the education, preservation and exploration of caves.
I began exploring caves as a trained cave SCUBA diver which introduced me to several other cavers in the community. I explore underwater caves as well as “dry” caves, often leading groups of other cavers.
In the Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia area, we also use ropes and vertical gear to go deep underground.
